- FIRE PLACE AND FIRE PIT - Wildfire is a very real risk in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Please be aware of burning restrictions, and feel free check in with the host if you have any questions. Guests will need to bring their own firewood (including paper, tinder and kindling) in order to use the outdoor fire pit. - HOT TUB - The hot tub is a custom built cedar hot tub that is exceptionally reliable. As you can see from our reviews it works flawlessly for 99 out of 100 of our guests. We take pride in ensuring it is always available by: - Ensuring we carry spare parts on hand - Wifi monitoring of the system status - Having a dedicated Hot Tub Maintenance Specialist available at short notice. Very occasionally however parts can fail, and we will communicate to you in good time if this is the case and we ask that you be patient in these situations. You can help us by: - Not attempting to adjust any settings - Only turning on the Jets and changing the temp as needed - Observing the Max Temp of 100 Degrees - Trying to prevent too much water from spilling out. Additionally, we change the water on the hot tub regularly to ensure the best guest experience. As the listing is usually fully booked, if your trip happens to fall on a day where this is the case, then the hot tub may not be fully heated for when you arrive, but it will reach temp by the evening. - WIFI - We have a dedicated Starlink servicing the home. Again, the vast majority of the time the wifi is operational, but weather, hardware failure, and service downtime can affect the availability of this. We manage this as best we can by: - Having a UPS to prevent power surges. - Holding back up hardware in the event of failure - Having a maintenance person available at short notice. - Good 5G Cell coverage is available on Verizon, but not AT&T We ask for your patience and understanding in the event that Wifi is down. - POWER OUTAGES - Whilst uncommon, here in the mountains power outages occur more regularly than in the city, particularly during periods of intense weather like wildfire season and snow storms. We provide a generator for your convenience that covers lights, wifi, outlets and refrigerator, but not the hot tub or the heating and cooling. In the event that the power goes out, our maintenance specialist will be on call, but we may require your assistance also.
